Accessing the tools needed to produce quality research can be challenging to learn and use. For new researchers in the global health research collaborative, our education informs us about the standards, tools, and practices required for professional work. However, access to these tools outside of the course and their practical application is limited.
We aim to bridge this gap by developing an online, cloud-based platform of open-source tools in a virtual environment accessible worldwide. This platform will support the entire research process, from data collection and analysis to the creation of professional manuscripts. Additionally, it will be integrated with educational materials and support from our collaborative.
A comprehensive set of guides will enable researchers to understand how to plan your specific project type and which resources are required to make it successful.
Part of the Planning section includes how to generate a deliverable and competitive project proposal to present and apply for grant funding.
Gather your data throughout your research, and dynamically learn from your expanding data set. You can easily import your collected data to begin analysis.
All data will remain secure and accessible only by you using your credentials in your virtual environment. The Global Health Research Collaborative will not have access to any data you import to the platform.
Analyzing your data and deriving novel findings is the more important component of successful research. Through integrated notebooks with both python and R functionality, you will be able to conduct your own analyses.
Resources will be provided to assist in performing common analyses functions alongside lessons to develop your own skills.
Producing a publication level manuscript with professional images for both research meetings and journal submissions can all be done with features integrated into this environment.
