Satinder Kaur, MD, MHA

Dr. Kaur was born and brought up in the northern most part of India in the valley of Kashmir. Graduated with a degree in Medicine (M.B.B.S) from University of Kashmir (India), and subsequently pursued a degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Michigan (Rackham Program). After completing Obstetrics and Gynecology residency from Wayne State University/DMC in 2008, she joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as Assistant Professor.

Dr. Kaur served as a Clerkship Director for Year III medical students at Wayne State University School of Medicine, between 2010 and 2015, and was selected to be the assistant Program director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology program in 2014. She was appointed the Residency Program Director in April 2015 and continues to serve in that capacity. Over the years she has received many awards, including Medical mentor’s award by Detroit Medical Center in 2017 and Wayne State University SOM teaching award for the year 2017/18. Dr. Kaur has been the representative for Wayne State University SOM, on the Council of Faculty and Academic Societies (CFAS) for AAMC from 2013 to present.
