Dr. Samantha Bauer is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Family Medicine and Public Health Sciences. Having formal training in Epidemiology, Dr. Bauer served as an Epidemiologist within the Detroit Health Department (1/2019-5/2021) where she gained practical experience in local public health. Now as a team scientist, Dr. Bauer collaborates with a variety of investigators as both Epidemiologist and Biostatistician while contributing to the analytics and operations of the Population Health Outcomes Information Exchange (PHOENIX). Dr. Bauer is passionate about the surveillance and research of health disparities, with special interests in drug dependence, biological sex differences, and data modernization.
