Rouba Ali-Fehmi, MD

Dr Ali-Fehmi is a Professor and Vice Chair in the Departments of Pathology at Wayne State University and Karmanos Cancer Institute. She is the director of Surgical Pathology Fellowship at Wayne State University. She is very interested and dedicated towards teaching and research. Since starting as a staff attending, she has mentored many gynecologic oncology and pathology fellows, which ultimately led to more than 120 peer reviewed publications and presentations, both at national and international meetings.

In addition, she received multiple honors such as Wayne State University College Teaching Award for Pathology and Obstetrics and Gynecology 2016 and the Recognition Award for Significant Contributions to the GYN/Oncology Fellows Teaching. Her area of interest is uterine high-grade endometrioid and serous carcinoma and ovarian carcinoma. She has collaborated with nationally recognized institutions regarding her work on endometrioid and serous carcinoma.She is the immediate past president of NAAMA (National Arab American Medical Association) and the current chair of NAAMA NextGen. She is also a member of multiple national and international professional societies and the former president of the Michigan society of pathologist 2012-2014.
