Dr. Nicholas Yared is originally from Kentucky and completed medical school at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He subsequently completed residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI followed by an infectious disease fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. During fellowship, his research involved evaluation of the use of self-collected tests for detecting human papillomavirus (HPV) and investigation of barriers and facilitators to uptake of the HPV vaccine. His other research interests include HIV prevention and promoting linkage-to-care for people living with HIV. He currently serves as a senior staff physician in the Henry Ford Health System Infectious Disease Division.
