Helen Berlie, PharmD

Helen Berlie is a Clinical Associate Professor with the Department of PharmacyPractice at Wayne State University. She obtained her Pharm.D. Degree and completed a 2-year fellowship in diabetes with Dr. Linda Jaber, both from Wayne State University. She is a board-certified ambulatory care pharmacist and practices as an Ambulatory Care Specialist at Health Centers Detroit Medical Group. This medical group is an urban, underserved, primary care practice in Detroit Michigan.

Within this medical group, Dr. Berlie is responsible for managing a progressive academic pharmacist-run diabetes clinic.In the didactic portion of the Pharmacy Program, Dr. Berlie teaches electives in diabetes, global health, and service learning. She is also the advisor for the Pharmacy Chapter of the World Health Student Organization and coordinates local and international medical relief experiences for pharmacy students. Her research interests are in the area of clinical diabetes practice and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
