Ms. Dankerlui holds a Master of Public Health in Global Health, specializing in Leadership, Policy, and Management from the University of Washington. She brings over 20 years of experience in global health, with a career dedicated to advancing equity in education, research, and healthcare.

From 2013 to 2025, she served with the Henry Ford Global Health Initiative (GHI), where she led collaborations with universities, hospitals, government institutions, and community organizations in Detroit and internationally. Her portfolio included coordinating clinical observations, rotations, workshops, conferences, and other programs designed to strengthen the capacity of GHI’s international partners. She also contributed as faculty in multiple global and community health workshops and holds certification in Teaching English as a Second Language.

In 2025, Ms. Dankerlui completed a Fulbright U.S. Scholar grant at the Universidad Tecnológica del Chocó in Quibdó, Colombia. There, she taught a course in Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) and conducted mental health research.

Originally from the Caribbean, she possesses deep knowledge of the local context and the challenges faced in resource-limited settings. She is currently based in Suriname, working as an independent consultant, advising on global health, education, and equity-focused initiatives. Ms. Dankerlui will be joining the University of Suriname as faculty for the Public Health Program in the near future.
