Doreen Dankerlui, MPH

Ms. Dankerlui received her Master of Public Health degree in Global Health, with a focus on Leadership, Policy and Management, from the University of Washington. She has been engaged in global health work for over 15 years, primarily in HIV/TB training and education.

Since her start at the Global Health Initiative (GHI) in 2013, she has collaborated with universities, hospitals and community organizations in Detroit as well as abroad on a variety of education, training and research programs. In her current role she manages observations, rotations, workshops, conferences and other programs focused on capacity building of GHI's international partners. Ms. Dankerlui has served as faculty in various research workshops and holds a certification for Teaching English as a Second Language. Originally from the Caribbean, Ms. Dankerlui has in-depth knowledge of local context and challenges of resource-limited settings.
